Job summary

Bitdeer is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel, Power & Land to own the land and energy infrastructure work for data center projects in the U.S. The role involves end-to-end land transactions, interconnection strategies, and cross-market coordination with utilities, regulatory bodies, and external counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• 7+ years of transactional experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house, with focus on real estate development, energy and power, or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead land and site transactions end to end including purchase/sale agreements, leases, easements, and title reviews.
• Negotiate interconnection and power arrangements for site viability and energy management.
• Advise on interconnection strategy with ERCOT, PJM, TVA, and Alberta market as applicable.
• Oversee diligence for zoning, permits, environmental review, and water rights.
• Develop standard forms and diligence checklists; manage in-house vs. external counsel decisions.
