Job summary

Bitdeer Technologies Group seeks an experienced Senior Legal Counsel, Power & Land, to own end-to-end land and power transactions for data center projects across the U.S. and Alberta. Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership. California admission preferred.
• 7+ years of transactional experience with real estate development, energy/power, or infrastructure work.
• Experience leading complex land and power transactions end to end as the responsible attorney.
• Direct experience with interconnection and service agreements, easements, and rights-of-way.
• Familiarity with construction and EPC contracting, or long-lead electrical equipment procurement.
• In-house experience at a data center developer, hyperscaler, or energy developer.

Responsibilities

• Lead land and site transactions end to end — purchase/sale agreements, leases, options, easements.
• Negotiate utility and power arrangements including interconnection and service agreements.
• Advise on interconnection strategy with providers and market operators (ERCOT, PJM, TVA, Alberta).
• Support site selection and diligence: zoning, entitlements, environmental review, water availability.
• Lead land use and entitlement workstreams with local counsel and public proceedings.
• Procure long-lead electrical infrastructure and manage related obligations.
• Coordinate with construction to align interconnection milestones and schedules.
• Serve as legal contact for utilities, landowners, developers, and authorities; manage counsel.
• Build form library and standards for diligences, and ensure proper entity/signature discipline.
• Track continuing obligations: options, approvals, cure deadlines, and energization covenants.
• Support management on other legal matters as assigned.
