Job summary

General Motors Corporation in Warren, MI is seeking a Technical Specialist to lead strategy and advanced technology development for power inverters and PE system design to meet GM's future EV portfolio.

You will coordinate roadmaps, mentor teams, and collaborate with Product, Systems, Modeling, and Manufacturing to deliver cost-effective, high-performance inverter solutions; hybrid onsite 1-3 days/week.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of automotive power electronics experience.
• Extensive inverter and PE system design, development, and testing.
• Experience in PE for EV applications and production implementation.
• Strong modeling/simulation skills and HV lab experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and roadmaps for power inverter/PE system design.
• Lead development, testing, and integration efforts.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Mentor team members and provide technical direction.
• Travel as needed to support supplier engagement.
