Job summary

HDR in Michigan is seeking an experienced Power Generation Project Manager to lead multi-discipline teams on utility-scale power and energy projects. You will manage client relations, develop strategies, and oversee scope, schedule, and budget from pre-positioning through execution.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a track record in design and consulting. PMP certification is preferred; a Bachelor’s degree is required; 7+ years of related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• Ability to interact with various design teams, strong organizational, project management and communication skills.
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
• Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
• Assist with proposal preparation, review contract terms, and assess risks.
• Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff.
• Communicate with the client and project team to ensure deliverables meet expectations.
• Monitor budget and schedule; develop recovery plans as needed.
• Identify scope changes and manage them.
• Provide training and mentoring to project staff.
• Perform design or consulting work within engineering expertise.
• Report project progress to accounting and operations teams.
• All other duties as assigned.
