Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Development Engineer for our Michigan Power Generation team. You will lead development efforts, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and support conceptual design and owner’s engineer activities.

Ideal candidates bring extensive power-generation project experience, strong communication, and a track record mentoring engineers. Travel is expected and schedule-driven collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with power-generation relevance.
• Minimum 10 years of project development/engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized in location of the position.
• Experience leading multi-discipline project teams and managing schedules/budgets.
• Strong communication, analytical, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development teams for power-generation projects from concept to owner’s engineer deliverables.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, real estate, economists, schedulers, and designers.
• Prepare and review project pro formas, cost estimates, quotations, and bid specs.
• Monitor schedules, communicate status, and manage technical and contractual issues.
