Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Technical Specialist/Technician to diagnose and execute complex repairs to generators and components at customer sites.

Travel to customer locations for service delivery and preventative maintenance is required, with focus on safety and quality standards. The role involves working with advanced diagnostic tools, collaborating with product specialists, documenting service activities, and contributing to improving service processes.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and continually develops productive customer relations and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
• Applies specialized tools and follows documented procedures to diagnose and complete complex repairs at customer site.
• Performs preventive maintenance on power generation products in the field as per schedules.
• Escalates unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor.
• Coaches technicians and apprentices and transfers knowledge to others; may review repair plans and parts lists.
