Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Power & Energy Project Manager for the Power & Energy PMO in Spring, TX (Houston, TX also considered). The role may be remote from a mutually acceptable location within the United States and requires travel to client offices for meetings.

You will provide PM leadership on large, complex projects, develop proposals and budgets, manage schedules, change control, and report to clients and leadership while mentoring staff and ensuring safety and QA/QC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Project Management or related field or equivalent experience in A/E/C, utility, EPC, or power delivery consulting.
• 12+ years of post-education project management experience in the industry.
• Strong understanding of project delivery processes and multiple delivery models (DBB, EPC, PDB).
• Advanced analytical and organizational skills with business acumen.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with leadership and subcontractors.
• Self-leadership with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to mentor staff and ensure QA/QC across projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and PM software.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for large, complex projects, overseeing budgets, forecasts, margins, KPIs and risk contingencies.
• Lead development of proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost and change management.
• Participate in contract negotiations, presentations, and meetings.
• Provide regular project reporting to clients, leads, and executives, identifying scope, risk and budget issues with mitigation.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Mentor staff for growth and professional development; enforce QA/QC and safety standards.
• Develop and refine processes to standardize procedures.
