Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division seeks a Senior Product Development Engineer - Power Electronics in Raleigh, NC. You will design and develop high power UPS systems and energy storage products, from concept through production, in a global, cross-functional team.

The role offers relocation assistance in the US and sponsorship support. Hybrid work model: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote; on-site as needed by project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years' product development experience
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 1 year in power electronics
• Hands-on electrical design, lab testing and troubleshooting experience
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specs
• Knowledge of three-phase power systems and power conversion topologies

Responsibilities

• Launch critical power infrastructure products meeting customer and safety requirements
• Design and develop SiC three-phase UPS from 20 kW to 2.5 MW and 1 MW+ storage
• Specify electrical components and create circuit diagrams and BOMs
• Collaborate with global product teams to address performance, safety, reliability
• Support DVT and validation testing in the lab
• Ensure designs meet UL and other certification requirements
