Job summary

Trystar is seeking a Staff PCB Design Engineer – Power Electronics to join our on-site team at Loveland, CO, collaborating across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing groups. You will lead PCB design for high-power conversion and control electronics, guiding from concept through production release and mentoring others.

The role emphasizes mixed-signal, high-voltage, high-current layout, and adherence to IPC, UL, IEC standards while working with fabricators and contract

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant PCB design experience.
• Experience with high-voltage, high-current PCB design and production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead PCB placement and routing for complex power electronics up to 2000 VDC / 600 VAC and >100 A.
• Own from stackup definition to production release, including fabrication documentation.
• Mentor designers, lead reviews, and establish PCB standards across the organization.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams throughout the lifecycle.
