Job summary

Trystar is seeking a Staff PCB Design Engineer – Power Electronics to join our engineering team in on-site locations across the US, including Houston, TX. You will lead PCB design and layout for high-power conversion and control electronics, collaborating with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams from concept to production release.

The role requires 7+ years of PCB design experience, strong Cadence Allegro/OrCAD skills, and the ability to oversee libraries, documentation,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field with 7+ years of relevant PCB design experience.
Experience with complex PCB layout using Cadence Allegro PCB Editor / OrCAD or comparable ECAD tools.
Experience designing high-voltage, high-current PCB assemblies and production-ready documentation.

Responsibilities

Lead PCB placement and routing for complex power electronics including gate-driver and control assemblies.
Own PCB designs from stackup definition through layout and production release.
Develop PCB layouts for high-voltage/high-current systems up to ~2000 VDC / 600 VAC.
Collaborate with engineers on schematic implementation, packaging, and ECAD/MCAD integration.
Lead PCB design reviews, mentor others, and establish design standards across the organization.
