Job summary

ABB is seeking a hands-on Reliability Engineer in New Berlin, WI to lead root cause investigations for low voltage VFD failures. You will document investigations, perform data-driven analyses, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement corrective actions that improve product reliability.

The role is on-site in New Berlin, WI and travels domestically and internationally as needed within the Motion Drive Products Division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, failure analysis, or a related role in the power electronics industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide root cause analysis for both factory and field failures of low voltage (120V-600V) VFDs.
• Utilize knowledge and lab instrumentation to investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Operate, select, and maintain lab electrical and scientific instrumentation.
• Provide data analytics to spot trends to improve product reliability.
