Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to own the Dual Voltage Distribution Box (DVDB) within the TeraWave Spacecraft Bus. You’ll drive the DVDB from requirements through design, qualification, and production, balancing space-grade reliability with cost and manufacturability at a large production rate.

The role demands leadership in power distribution architectures for spacecraft, collaboration with multiple teams, and deep experience in high‑reliability electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on electronics hardware development experience.
• Experience with power distribution architectures including SSPCs, relay switching, overcurrent protection, and fault isolation.

Responsibilities

• Lead circuit design for the Dual Voltage Distribution Box (DVDB) and associated power components.
• Define load switch sequencing, fault response, and health telemetry interfaces.
• Own DVDB hardware requirements, ICDs, and design specifications across systems teams.
• Participate in FMEA/FMECA and drive single-point failure elimination.
• Transition Automated Test Equipment (ATE) from development to production and define qualification plans.
