VVater LLC is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer for an onsite role in Austin, TX. You will own power-conversion hardware, drive design from specifications to manufacturable products, and ensure safety and compliance across panels and systems.

Collaboration with mechanical, controls, and manufacturing teams is essential to deliver robust, efficient power solutions for cutting-edge water purification reactors.

Competenze

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years in power electronics or power-supply design.
• Hands-on experience bringing voltage-conversion devices to validated, manufacturable products.
• Panel integration experience with protection, grounding, power quality, and electrical safety and compliance.
• Hardware bring-up and FAT testing: efficiency, thermal, harmonics and fault-condition testing.
• DFM and supplier-management experience on power components.
• Experience with CAD and simulation tools for modeling and design optimization.

• Design power and voltage conversion hardware meeting reactor electrical duty requirements.
• Specify requirements for voltage conversion and distribution devices for high-current or pulsed duty.
• Relate electrical parameters to reactor performance and energy use; translate duty to supply specs.
• Own panel integration, protection coordination, grounding, and power quality.
• Define and verify electrical safety and code compliance for packaged modules.
• Develop SOPs, design protocols, and safety guidelines for installing and maintaining electrical systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to IP generation.
• Represent VVater technically with customers, partners, and suppliers.
