Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Systems Test Engineer to lead testing of embedded HVAC control systems in labs, test cells, and field trials. This onsite role develops tests and methodologies for embedded controls and collaborates with hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality releases.

You will report to the Associate Director, Firmware & Embedded Software, and contribute within a 15-person team in a broader 50-person department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years in systems engineering with embedded products.
• 5+ years in integrating and testing complex embedded control systems.
• 3+ years of root cause analysis experience.
• Willing to travel up to 10% (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Define integration tests for HVAC embedded systems with engineers.
• Execute systems integration testing within product development.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams.
• Identify field trial sites and manage testing resources.
• Write test specifications and plans for verification and validation.
• Support DFMEAs and risk assessment activities.
• Document system and software requirements and testing approaches.
• Develop system-level test cases and plans.
