Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related field with progressive engineering experience (12+ yrs with Bachelors, 10+ with Masters, 7+ with PhD).
- DoD secret clearance ability is required.
- Required Experience: Power Electronics; pulsed power systems; both analog and digital circuit design.
- Desirable Experience: Power systems; power supplies; multiphase DC-to-DC converters; embedded controls in power electronics; digital or microprocessor control of power supplies; familiarity with DoD technical review processes (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
- Desired Skills (ranked high to low): PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, PCB Design Software (Altium Designer), SPICE tools, MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, Ridleyworks, HyperLynx.
- Show ability to quickly grasp new concepts, plan and coordinate workloads to meet deadlines, and communicate with impact.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for cross-functional interfaces.
- Customer-focused with ability to develop innovative designs in resolving advanced technical problems.
- Capable of representing the organization as a prime technical contact and guiding junior staff.
- Ability to work independently and in teams; travel and extended schedules may be required.

Responsibilities
- Lead concept development, prototype design, integration, and test of power electronics for HEL systems and space-based applications.
- Improve legacy systems and develop new ones with cross-functional teams.
- Generate electrical architecture solutions and perform analyses; document findings for management.
- Provide technical leadership, consulting on engineering problems, and apply latest tech advances.
- May lead a cross-functional team on ultra-high power batteries, compact converters, or space-based electrical systems.
- Contribute to complex engineering efforts with safety, business strategy, and cross-disciplinary coordination.
- Represent the organization as a prime technical contact on projects.
