Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) in Rancho Bernardo seeks an Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical Technologies Design team. You will develop and integrate high‑power electrical systems, including lasers, sensors, and power conditioning, working closely with firmware teams on prototypes and experiments.

Responsibilities include system design reviews, hardware troubleshooting, PCB design, test and integration of LRUs, and documentation for program managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Master's/PhD in engineering or related field; progressive experience as specified.
• Experience designing complex systems including power, sensors, safety features, data acquisition.
• Knowledge of PCB design, schematics and signal conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and support of high-energy electrical systems and lasers.
• Participate in design reviews, interconnects, CAD reviews, PCB designs, and cable assemblies.
• Test and integrate LRUs, including COTS and custom electronics.
