Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Power Delivery Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Transmission Line and Substation teams. The role focuses on structural design of high voltage facilities, including steel structures, foundations, and substation layouts, with collaboration across multiple offices and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• PE license or ability to obtain is preferred.
• Experience with high voltage transmission line, switchyard and substation projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, oversee, review, and/or execute structural engineering tasks for transmission line and substation projects.
• Lead foundation design tasks including piers, footings, grillage and piles.
• Support or review transmission line design tasks (PLS-CADD) and substation layouts.
• Coordinate project deliverables quality checks per HDR QMS and mentor junior engineers.
