Job summary

ABB is seeking a Power Delivery Field Engineer to support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of power distribution equipment across the Central Midwest, including Detroit and remote sites. You will lead field activities, coordinate with customers, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include startup, commissioning, and repair of transformers, switchgear, relays, and related power controls, with extensive travel and occasional international sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Willingness to travel ~75% and possess/maintain passport and driver’s license.
• Authorized to work in the United States; background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to the work group to meet objectives; install, troubleshoot, and repair Power Delivery equipment.
• Lead outages with field engineers and contractors; prepare technical reports and requirements.
• Plan, organize, and perform field assignments; develop technical knowledge and training for team.
