Job summary

ABB provides energy distribution solutions and field service support for data centers and industrial plants. The role focuses on on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrades of critical power equipment, with emphasis on troubleshooting and customer collaboration.

You will prepare materials, ensure quality standards, and coach technicians while identifying improvement opportunities. Strong safety adherence and communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or related field with relevant experience.
• Associates degree with significant work history in servicing critical power equipment.
• High school diploma with extensive practical experience in critical power equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong teamwork.
• Advanced MS Office, scheduling tools, and project management skills.
• Ability to write test plans and reports; stay organized and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• On-site work with customers to perform installation, commissioning, maintenance and upgrades.
• Identify technical issues, troubleshoot and execute field service tasks within certified areas.
• Prepare material lists and ensure parts meet quality standards and availability.
• Coach technicians, supervise complex site activities, and train team members.
• Identify opportunities for product and quality improvements; communicate to management.
• Follow safety protocols and report unsafe practices and incidents.
