Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a PowerBI Technical Administrator to ensure smooth operations of DW/BI environments. The role is fully remote within the United States and requires a strong background in Power BI, data modeling, and security management.

You will install, tune, and upgrade BI software, while collaborating with analysts and leadership to deliver accurate, accessible reporting. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Power BI, SQL Server/Oracle, and data governance, and can manage data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, 12+ years of relevant experience or commensurate experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Build and optimize data models using Power Query and DAX, including calculated columns, measures, and relationships.
• Connect Power BI to SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, cloud services and APIs; manage data refresh, gateways, and permissions.

Responsibilities

• Generates Ad-Hoc Power BI reports for stakeholders.
• Provides Power BI training and class development, delivery.
• Installs and configures DW/BI software per enterprise architecture.
• Tunes DW/BI environment to optimize performance.
• Manages user access control and security across Power BI.
• Implements software patches and evaluates vendor updates for DW/BI systems.
• Recommends changes to software/hardware to improve performance.
• Monitors DW/BI software operations and applies patches as needed.
