Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Power BI Technical Administrator to ensure smooth operations of DW/BI environments, including installation, configuration, and optimization of BI, ETL, and data management software. The role is fully remote within the United States.

The candidate will design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, build data models with M and DAX, and collaborate with analysts and leadership to enable data-driven decisions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Build and optimize data models using Power Query (M) and DAX, including calculated columns, measures, and relationships.
• Connect Power BI to data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, cloud services, APIs) and manage data refresh schedules, gateways, and permissions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot performance issues in reports and data models, applying best practices.
• Collaborate with analysts, database engineers, and leadership to gather requirements and support data-driven decisions.
