Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a PowerBI Technical Administrator to ensure smooth operations of core DW/BI software, including BI and ETL environments. The role is fully remote within the United States and focuses on installing, configuring, and optimizing software to support data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives.

You will design and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, and reports, connecting to SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud sources while managing data refreshes and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Connect Power BI to various data sources and manage data refresh schedules.
• Analyze and troubleshoot performance issues in reports and data models.
• Collaborate with analysts, DB engineers, and leadership to gather requirements.

Responsibilities

• Generate Ad-Hoc PBI reports.
• Conduct Power BI training (Instructor-led Class Development, Delivery).
• Install and configure DW/BI software to meet customer needs in accordance with enterprise architecture.
• Tune environment to optimize performance of DW/BI software.
• Design, implement, and update user management solutions for access control.
• Evaluate vendor software updates and plan patches to mitigate risks.
• Suggest changes to software/hardware configurations to improve performance.
• Ensure smooth operations of DW/BI software through monitoring and patching.
• Support user administration for role-based security.
• Perform upgrades to incorporate new features and security improvements.
