Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a highly experienced PowerBI Technical Administrator to ensure smooth operations of core DW/BI software. This fully remote role supports data warehousing and BI environments across the United States.

You will design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards, data models, and data sources, while managing refresh schedules, gateways, and security permissions. Collaboration with analysts and leadership is essential for data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards from business requirements.
• Build and optimize data models with Power Query and DAX.
• Connect Power BI to SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, cloud services, and APIs.
• Manage data refresh schedules, gateways and workspace permissions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot performance in reports and data models.
• Collaborate with analysts and leadership to gather reporting needs.

Responsibilities

• Generates Ad-Hoc PBI Reports.
• Conducts PBI training (Instructor-led class development, delivery).
• Installs and configures DW/BI software to meet customer needs per enterprise architecture.
• Continuously tunes environment to optimize performance of DW/BI software.
• Designs, implements, and updates user management solutions for access per security requirements.
• Evaluates vendor software updates to plan patches to mitigate risks.
• Makes recommendations for changes to software/hardware configurations to improve performance.
• Ensures smooth operations of DW/BI software through monitoring and patching.
• Supports user administration for RBAC per security guidelines.
• Performs upgrades to include new features and maintain security.
