Essent Group Ltd. is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer in Radnor, PA. You will lead end-to-end Power BI solutions, migrate from Cognos to Power BI, and optimize queries against Amazon Redshift. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver high-performance analytics and mentor teammates.

The role emphasizes scalable BI architecture, security, and enterprise reporting standards, with a focus on mortgage-related analytics and data governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years building end-to-end enterprise Power BI solutions (DAX, modeling, connections).
• At least five (5) years of advanced SQL against data warehouses, especially Redshift.
• Hands-on with IBM Cognos Analytics and migration to Power BI during transitions.
• Experience with AWS data services and cloud-based reporting environments.
• Strong collaboration with ETL teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy enterprise Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Lead Cognos-to-Power BI migration and maintain legacy reports during transition.
• Optimize data extraction from AWS Redshift and tune SQL queries.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to map KPIs and ensure data parity.
• Mentor junior team members on advanced Power BI modeling and visualization.
