Job summary

MRL Consulting Group | Global Niche Technology Recruitment is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer with a background in power electronics or power semiconductors in the USA. You will support customers through the design cycle, collaborating with sales and engineering to develop and optimise power solutions.

Ideal candidates have hands-on power electronics experience, strong communication skills, and a track record in reviewing schematics and system designs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience in power electronics.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Experience with design reviews, schematics and technical presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application support to customers throughout the design cycle.
• Assist with power supply and power electronics design and optimisation.
• Review schematics, PCB layouts and system designs.
• Advise on component selection and application optimisation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.
• Conduct customer design reviews and technical presentations.
• Support sales teams with customer meetings and visits.
• Provide technical training and product demonstrations.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams.
