MRL Consulting Group | Global Niche Technology Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Field Application Engineer to act as a key technical interface between customers and the business. You will support customers through product selection, design, validation and qualification, while helping identify opportunities and drive product adoption in San Jose, California.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on analog hardware design, strong knowledge of power-converter topologies, power switches

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3+ years hands-on analog hardware design experience.
Strong knowledge of power-converter topologies, power switches and passive components.
Familiarity with high-power PWM controllers, smart power stages, and hot-swap controllers.
Experience in data centers, HPC, or AI infrastructure power architectures is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical contact for customers.
Advise on suitable products and technical solutions during new projects.
Provide design, validation, and qualification support.
Visit customers for product promotion, training, and on-site support.
Travel to customer and partner locations as required.
Support design-win activities and contribute to growth.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to capture customer requirements.
