Job summary

MRL Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer for advanced power electronics to support customers across the US West Coast. The role focuses on bridging customer needs with internal technical, product and commercial teams, helping achieve top performance from semiconductor technologies.

The ideal candidate combines deep power electronics knowledge with the ability to engage customers at system and application levels, enabling efficient design and market-driven product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience in power electronics, semiconductor applications, FAE or power system design.
• Strong understanding of power semiconductor devices and their practical application.
• Experience with high‑voltage power conversion systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical point of contact for key customers and their engineering teams.
• Support customers through design, development, qualification and production lifecycle.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, workshops and application assessments.
• Develop understanding of customer architectures, technical challenges and future requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance and efficiency.
