Hatch in Houston, TX is seeking a Lead Estimator with Ports and Terminals experience to join our Project Delivery Group. You will lead a team of estimators and develop comprehensive, first-principles estimates for heavy industrial projects.

The ideal candidate has 10 years of estimating experience on medium to large EPCM projects, strong MS Office skills, and proven ability to coordinate with engineering and drive basis of estimate reviews. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 10 years of estimating experience on medium/large multi-discipline projects in EPCM environments.
• Experience leading a team of estimators.
• Ports and Terminals experience required.
• Strong MS Office skills and experience with estimating systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand estimating scope of work, deliverables, schedule, estimate structure, formats, reports.
• Develop the estimate plan and initiate estimate kick-off meeting.
• Coordinate MTO deliverables with engineering.
• Deliver an accurate and comprehensive estimate in accordance with procedures, standards, and practices.
• Bottom-up calculation of direct and indirect field costs and escalation considerations.
• Establish project escalation and contingency requirements.
• Calculate cash expenditure and escalation over project duration.
• Attend estimate review meetings.
• Issue Basis of Estimate and prepare client presentations.
• Monitor and upgrade the estimating database.
• Prepare input for Gate Release Meetings.
