Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years in commercial banking, portfolio management, underwriting or related.
• Expert level understanding of accounting, credit analysis, portfolio management, structuring, underwriting, and legal documentation
• Strong risk judgment for complex portfolios
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Maintain an independent view of client creditworthiness and communicate risk perspectives to partners
• Monitor deals and approve renewals/modifications/exit decisions as appropriate
• Analyze historical financials and projections to ensure accurate risk ratings and identify trends
• Manage underwriting, approval and documentation for transactions (new money, renewals, extensions, amendments, waivers, and ancillary products)
• Review credit decisions, interpret credit policy for partners, and escalate high-risk requests
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines and documentation standards
• Manage a larger, more complex portfolio with high-touch client relationships
• Lead or participate in diligence discussions with clients and senior leadership
• Provide guidance on deal structures, pricing and risk mitigation strategies
• Create portfolio performance reports for senior management with risk insights
