Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Asset Backed Finance Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of accounts, review borrowing bases, servicer reports, and risk ratings, and coordinate with relationship managers and credit teams.

You will perform surveillance, renewals, amendments, and onboarding of new facilities, with a focus on risk management, customer experience, and continuous learning in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting).
• At least 3 years credit analysis and/or loan review experience in Commercial Banking.
• Advanced analytical skills, critical thinking and verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional presence (client-facing).
• Experience managing an advanced commercial client portfolio with some degree of complexity.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing surveillance of covered transactions, including monitoring trends in deal and asset performance, and checking the correctness of borrowing bases and servicer reports.
• Conduct regular reviews of Asset Backed Finance Group's portfolio.
• Execute decisions to renew or modify deals.
• Work on deal amendments and changes in terms.
• Coordinate field exams on existing lending facilities.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding credit events and actions as needed.
