Job summary
BMO Financial Group in Chicago seeks an experienced Commercial credit professional to analyze credit information, structure loans, and support lending decisions for a portfolio of clients. The role involves negotiating terms, assessing repayment capacity with financial models, monitoring risk, and delivering insights to optimize returns while expanding client relationships with Relationship Managers.

Qualifications
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in credit or lending instruments or financial operations in a corporate or banking environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
- Negotiates loan structures and terms and conditions.
- Assesses client repayment capacity using financial models and analytical tools.
- Signs off on new, renewal and extension loans within delegated authority.
- Monitors portfolio to identify deteriorating credit conditions and compliance.
- Evaluates portfolio performance and recommends capital allocation strategies.
- Leads proposal development and delivers presentations to capture new business.
