Job summary

Concrete Technologies, Inc. (CTI) is seeking a self-motivated Portable Concrete Plant Batcher to produce consistent slump concrete by coordinating with dump truck drivers, customers, and material quality.

You will verify batch weights, control inventory, and ensure scale accuracy while maintaining safety and efficiency on site. The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years of plant experience, DOT/PCC certifications, and strong math, planning, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of concrete plant experience required; preferably portable concrete plant.
• DOT Aggregate/PCC certifications required.
• Possess excellent mathematical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Excellent time management skills. Works well under time constraints and responds positively to change.
• Professional, friendly, self-motivated, proactive, and possesses a positive attitude.
• A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record are required. CDL is preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and elements. Comfortable working around dust, oils, solvents, gas fumes, and concrete raw materials.
• Pass a post-conditional offer of employment evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Batch concrete using manual and computerized systems per batch designs and tolerances.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections on equipment.
• Verify batch weight accuracy and report scale discrepancies.
• Assess material quality with yard personnel and QC.
• Coordinate monthly plant inspections with the Portable Plant Operations Manager.
• Aim to meet KPI targets (productivity, manhour control).
• Perform plant preventive maintenance to keep operations reliable and at capacity.
• Manage inventory levels and coordinates with suppliers for timely delivery.
• Ensure safe driving practices on site for customers/drivers.
• Provide leadership and direction to customers/drivers with Operations Manager.
• Follow CTI housekeeping plan and keep areas clean and organized.
• Maintain an orderly batch office and complete paperwork accurately.
• Follow all safety protocols and CTI/OSHA rules on sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
