Job summary

The City of Houston seeks a Maintenance Mechanic III to service and repair city pools, fountains and water park facilities. Responsibilities include maintaining pumps, motors, piping, and chromation systems, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring compliance with state and city codes.

Candidate will maintain records, assist with cost estimates, and may work evenings, weekends or holidays as needed. A valid Texas Class C driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Specialized training beyond high school in a trade or technical area.
• At least 1 year of building or mechanical maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain swimming pool, fountain pumps, motors, filters and related systems.
• Repair and maintain pool components; follow city and state codes.
• Assist in obtaining and submitting repair estimates; maintain records of time, materials, and costs.
• May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
