Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Polymer Center Maintenance Supervisor in Allentown, PA to lead a mechanical and electrical technician team responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of fixed and mobile equipment, as well as building and facility upkeep.

The role focuses on safe, timely repair planning, coaching staff, and enforcing safety and regulatory standards while managing inventory, expenses, and external service providers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in the recycling, manufacturing or related industry.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role, supervisor or other management role requiring a thorough knowledge of safe working practices, OSHA and other federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs mechanical and electrical technicians in maintenance shop; conducts daily debrief meetings; coaches/counsels all technician levels on performance/corrective action.
• Makes hiring/termination decisions in concert with Human Resources and appropriate management; conducts employee training and performance evaluations; evaluates and makes recommendations for merit increases, promotions and job changes.
