Job summary

Republic Services’ Polymer Center Lead Operator will guide a team of Operators, Forklift Operators, Sorters and other equipment operators to run the Polymer Center efficiently. You will ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company standards while maintaining expert knowledge of Sorting, Grinding, and Washing equipment.

You will lead a safety-first culture, monitor production and waste, and drive customer satisfaction through strong teamwork and staff development on the shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or recycling experience.
• Direct staff and safety leadership experience.
• Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise Operators, Forklift Operators, and Sorters on shift.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections per policy.
• Maintain safety standards and accident prevention programs.
• Monitor production and waste; ensure equipment readiness.
• Document Equipment Condition Reports and coordinate repairs.
• Foster teamwork and coach staff for career advancement.
