Job summary

The Prosper Police Department seeks a highly experienced Police Lieutenant to lead patrol and investigative operations in Prosper, Texas. The role commands daily law enforcement activities, mentors sergeants, and collaborates with city leadership to maintain public safety.

The Hiring Salary Range is $132,059.20 to $141,772.80 annually. Qualifications include advanced peace officer certification, 60 college credits, and seven years of law enforcement experience with supervisory background.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced Peace Officer Certification
• Sixty (60) college credit hours
• A minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience at the rank of Police Sergeant, or equivalent law enforcement experience as approved by the Chief of Police
• Associate’s degree in Police Science, Law Enforcement Administration, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field highly preferred.
• Supplementation by completion of advanced law management: LEMIT, ILEA, or similar type of training ideal.
• Seven (7) years of law enforcement experience including two (2) years of police supervisory and administrative experience.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Possession of a valid Texas Peace Officer License from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education.
• Possession of Advanced Certification by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education.
