We seek a PNT Modeling & Simulation Senior Engineering Specialist to lead sophisticated simulation tools for requirements verification, analyses-of-alternatives, and performance evaluation of navigation and positioning systems. This onsite role is based in Chantilly, VA, with opportunities at other sites.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in aerospace, electrical, systems engineering, mathematics or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive relevant academic, professional, technical work experience.
• Proficiency with Python, C++, Fortran, or MATLAB.
• Experience with space-related modeling and simulation, geolocation, mission data processing, or similar.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical advisor for department and subdivision-level management and staff in PNT architecture and geolocation, translating customer needs into strategic objectives and providing technical evaluations.
• Work with program offices and interface with government leaders, contractors, other government agencies, program offices, and ETG to provide analyses and recommendations.
• Assemble and lead multi-disciplinary teams driving recommendations for research, development, and acquisition decisions for legacy and emerging navigation and positioning systems.
• Oversee the execution of development and sustainment plans for M&S tools and capabilities, driving innovation to meet future needs.
• Serve as a technical mentor to junior staff, coordinating training and maintaining bench depth.
• Develop and present timely, technically accurate presentations and reports communicating analysis results to leads and customers.
