Job summary

Newell Brands in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Program Manager III to lead the PMO for the Outdoor and Recreation business. You will guide a global cross-functional team through stage-gate processes to develop, commercialize and launch innovative consumer products, while ensuring cost, schedule and scope targets are met.

The role also involves coaching project managers, improving PMO capabilities, and driving delivery across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product development and project management.
• Strong sense of ownership and urgency with ability to drive accountability.
• Ability to diagnose day-to-day project issues and deploy methods to deliver OTIF.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead New Product Development (NPD) portfolio of various complex projects.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers, establishing clear priorities and providing performance feedback.
• Facilitate project planning sessions to develop standardized timelines for projects.
• Motivate project team and influence action and accountability for assigned work.
• Deliver PMO KPIs on project timing, cost, quality, and budget.
• Partner with Brand Marketing and R&D to define project scope and design.
• Establish formal weekly team meetings & communication methods for project execution.
• Identify, monitor, and implement risk mitigation plans; report status to leadership.
• Lead post-launch audit output evaluations for continuous improvement of execution.
• Communicate project expectations clearly to team, leadership, and stakeholders.
• Maintain financial awareness to ensure fiscally sound decisions.
• Lead issue identification and resolution within cross-functional teams.
• Use MS Project to develop schedules focusing on the critical path.
• Maintain documentation and database integrity per stage-gate process.
