Job summary

Insight Global seeks a New Product Development (NPD) Program Manager to own a portfolio of complex development initiatives across heavy equipment lines. You will drive concepts through commercialization, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, and product management teams.

You will manage multiple concurrent projects, oversee budgets, schedules, RAID logs, and governance, and report portfolio health to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• 8-10+ years of end-to-end project management experience.
• NPD/NPI experience.
• Experience owning multiple complex projects (4–6) simultaneously.
• Industrial/heavy equipment background.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Portfolio and program management experience.
• Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Asana, Project Insight).

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the NPD portfolio across multiple product lines.
• Lead project planning sessions and cross-functional program reviews.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, RAID logs, budgets, and resource plans.
• Establish and improve NPD portfolio governance and reporting processes.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, and commercial teams.
• Present portfolio health, risks, status updates, and KPIs to senior leadership.
• Manage new product development projects from ideation through commercialization.
• Allocate resources and prioritize projects based on business objectives.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and roadblocks.
• Track project performance, costs, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coach and mentor project teams through the NPD lifecycle.
• Drive execution of product redesigns, enhancements, and new product launches.
• Create strategic initiatives aimed at margin growth and market share expansion.

Insight Global is seeking a New Product Development (NPD) Program Manager for a leading manufacturing and infrastructure solutions organization. This individual will serve as the primary owner of a portfolio of complex new product development initiatives across multiple heavy equipment product lines. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical engineering knowledge and advanced project/program leadership experience, enabling them to effectively drive projects from concept through commercialization.

This role will partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, and product management teams to establish governance frameworks, manage project portfolios, facilitate phase-gate reviews, and ensure successful execution of strategic product initiatives. The candidate will oversee multiple concurrent projects, track portfolio health, manage resources and budgets, mitigate risks, and provide executive-level reporting to senior leadership. This position is ideal for an experienced PMP-certified project manager who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys leading complex cross-functional initiatives that directly impact product innovation, operational efficiency, and business growth.

Industry: Heavy Equipment Manufacturing / Industrial Manufacturing / Infrastructure Solutions

Travel: 10–20% domestic travel

Products Supported: Asphalt equipment, aggregate processing equipment, mobile equipment, concrete-related machinery, and other products across the company's extensive infrastructure portfolio.

Day-to-Day:

Must-Haves:

• New Product Development (NPD) / New Product Introduction (NPI) experience
• Experience owning and driving multiple complex projects simultaneously (4–6 projects at a time)
• Industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or heavy equipment background
• Experience managing cross-functional teams across all business functions
• Portfolio and program management experience
• Proven risk management, governance, and project reporting experience
• Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Asana, Project Insight, etc.)

Plusses:

• PMP HIGHLY preferred
