Job summary

Newell Brands in Atlanta, GA seeks a Program Manager III to lead a global cross-functional team through the stage-gate process to develop, commercialize and launch innovative product solutions that meet cost, schedule, and scope requirements.

The PMO leader will coach project managers, drive standardized planning, and partner with Brand Marketing and R&D to ensure on-time, high-quality outcomes across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in product development and project management in consumer products.
• Strong ownership, urgency, and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across locations.
• Expertise in predictive, Agile, Stage-gate and hybrid PM methodologies.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred; familiarity with PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead New Product Development (NPD) portfolio of various complex project.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers, establishing clear priorities and providing feedback.
• Facilitate project planning sessions to develop standardized timelines.
• Motivate project team and drive accountability for assigned work.
• Deliver PMO KPIs for timing, cost, quality, and budget.
• Partner with Brand Marketing and R&D to define project scope and design.
• Establish formal weekly team meetings and communications for execution.
• Identify and mitigate risks; report progress to leadership.
• Lead post-launch evaluations for continuous process improvement.
• Communicate plans to team, leadership, and stakeholders clearly.
• Maintain financial discipline and ensure fiscally sound decisions.
