Travelers is hiring an AVP, Project Management to lead and oversee large, transformative programs with executive visibility. You will drive planning, governance, and delivery across multiple portfolios, leveraging vendor resources and a mature PMO approach.

A strong track record in large-scale transformations and Agile/SAFe practices is essential. The role demands strategic alignment with business goals, strong leadership of senior PMs, and the ability to operate independently at the executive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10 years of project management experience.
• 5 years of experience managing others.
• Proven track record owning a large-scale ($25M+), multi-year transformation program with high cross-functional and executive visibility.
• Extensive experience utilizing vendor resources to complete project work.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently at the executive/senior leadership level, including direct program-level risk escalation and decision support.
• Experience with Agile/SAFe governance models at scale (PI Planning, ART structures) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The AVP, Project Management controls planning and execution of the Projects, Programs, Portfolios and the PMO's activities and resources to ensure that established cost, time, and quality goals are met.
• The AVP, Project Management leads a team of Project and Program Managers and applies expert PM knowledge to deliver outputs that meet stakeholder needs.
• The AVP, Project Management defines and operates within parameters using a proven PM methodology for achieving goals.
• Provides leadership in setting demand and delivery parameters using industry best practices.
