Job summary

Thumbtack is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Vendor & Scaled Operations within its Service Operations PMO. You will own outsourcing strategy, governance, and a portfolio of multi-year partner programs, balancing commercial terms, performance, and capacity across vendors and internal teams.

You’ll build cost, quality, and risk models, present to senior leadership, and drive adoption with teams that don’t report to you, while shaping durable playbooks and scalable processes for future

Qualifications

• 8+ years in program or project management
• 3+ years owning vendor, BPO, or outsourced delivery relationships
• Experience with multiple vendors/sites or vendor transitions
• Proficiency in program management tooling (Jira, Linear, Coda, Smartsheet) and fluency in Agile and Waterfall

Responsibilities

• Own Thumbtack's vendor and outsourcing strategy for Service Operations
• Design and optimize governance for vendor performance (SLA, scorecards, cadence)
• Manage a portfolio of programs and drive outcomes across multiple teams
• Build measurement framework for cost-to-serve, quality, and forecast accuracy
• Align senior leaders and drive decision-making on sourcing priorities
• Develop AI and automation to reduce coordination overhead and coach other managers
