Job summary

Octave is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Schematics Solutions to own the strategy and roadmap for P&ID, instrumentation, and electrical design tools. You will partner with engineering and design to ship high-quality releases and measure impact on customers and business.

The role requires deep technical fluency, strong domain understanding of engineering workflows, and the ability to lead through influence across engineering, design, and GTM teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management with end-to-end ownership.
• Proven track record shipping software that solves real user problems.
• Strong technical fluency; comfortable with architecture and data-centric products.
• Ability to quickly build domain understanding of specialized engineering workflows.
• Excellent judgment on prioritization and scope backed by data and customer insight.
• Strong written and verbal communication; clear for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lead through influence across cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for Schematics portfolio (P&ID, instrumentation, electrical).
• Gather user insights from process, I&C, and electrical engineers, EPCs, and owner-operators to inform roadmap.
• Ensure interoperability and data consistency across the plant lifecycle.
• Translate insights into clearly scoped problems, requirements, and success metrics.
• Prioritize across disciplines balancing customer value, business impact, and risk.
• Collaborate with engineering and design to ship high-quality releases amidst evolving constraints.
• Ensure adherence to relevant standards and data integrity in engineering design.
• Define and track adoption, retention, engagement, and revenue impact metrics.
