Job summary

Octave is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Schematics Solutions to own the strategy and roadmap across P&ID, instrumentation, and electrical design. You will engage deeply with process, I&C, and electrical engineers, EPCs, and owner-operators to ensure data interoperability and high-value outcomes across the plant lifecycle.

You will partner with engineering and design to deliver releases, measure impact, and balance customer value with technical effort.

Qualifications

5+ years in product management owning end-to-end products or major areas.
Track record shipping software that solves real user problems and drives measurable outcomes.
Strong technical fluency; able to discuss architecture and tradeoffs with engineers.
Ability to quickly build domain understanding of specialized engineering workflows.
Excellent judgment on prioritization with data-driven reasoning.

Responsibilities

Own the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for Schematics portfolio (P&ID, instrumentation, electrical).
Talk to users—process, I&C, electrical engineers, EPCs, and owner-operators—to understand workflows and pain points.
Translate customer and market insight into clearly scoped problems, requirements, and success metrics.
Partner with engineering and design to ship high-quality releases and adapt to evolving constraints.
Define and track metrics (adoption, retention, revenue impact) to guide decisions.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and CS on positioning, enablement, and feedback loops.
