Job summary

Industrial Scientific, part of Fortive, is seeking a Product Manager to define and deliver product strategy for its integrated hardware and software solutions. You will partner with hardware, firmware, and software teams and work across engineering, design, and marketing to translate customer needs into measurable outcomes.

Expect travel to customer sites and global collaboration. The role emphasizes building scalable roadmaps, leading cross-functional delivery, and ensuring quality releases

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in product management or related technical leadership roles.
• Partner with hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams and lead cross-functional delivery.
• Experience with Agile product development, backlog management, and hybrid hardware–software models.
• Strong systems-thinking capability with comfort managing tradeoffs across devices, connectivity, software, and services.
• Experience in B2B environments with complex, safety-critical or connected products.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to influence without authority.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~25%).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product strategy and roadmaps for integrated hardware–software solutions.
• Identify product gaps and opportunities through market analysis and customer insights.
• Define outcome-based success metrics and use data to guide product decisions and tradeoffs.
• Own backlog prioritization and coordinate with engineering across disciplines for regular releases.
• Review sprint deliverables and ensure high-quality, cohesive releases.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to define value propositions and launch readiness.
