Job summary

WellSuited Talent is seeking a Senior Project Manager for utility-scale energy storage projects in California. This remote, full-time role oversees development through COD, coordinating with EPCs, CAISO interconnection, and utilities, while based in CA and willing to travel to sites.

You will manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in utility-scale energy, power or heavy civil construction
• Proven experience delivering utility-scale BESS, solar or hybrid projects (100+ MW) from construction through COD
• Experience with California permitting, CAISO interconnection, or California utility requirements preferred
• Experience managing EPC contracts, budgets and schedules on large-scale capital projects

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of assigned projects from late-stage development through COD and turnover to operations
• Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting and monthly cost reporting
• Oversee procurement and contracting including EPC, BESS supply, balance-of-plant and subcontractor agreements
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and track long-lead equipment and milestones
• Coordinate interconnection requirements with CAISO and utilities
• Promote safety, quality and accountability across all project sites
• Lead regular project and leadership meetings and provide status to executives and financing partners
