Job summary

Checkmate is seeking a senior Product Strategy & Leadership lead to define a multi-year platform vision and oversee complex integrations. You will mentor team members, conduct competitive analysis, and drive a data-driven product roadmap that balances infrastructure with new integrations.

You will translate API specifications into actionable requirements, manage the full lifecycle of all integrations, and partner with engineering to ensure scalable, high-quality platform services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
• 8+ years in software product management, with significant platform focus.
• Strong consideration for restaurant SaaS experience.
• Proven track record launching and managing complex technical products (platforms, APIs, large-scale integrations).
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools in job duties; required for every team member.
• Experience managing and mentoring product managers.
• Expert-level API, system integration, and platform architecture knowledge.
• Experience in an agile environment.
• Excellent analytical skills deriving insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
• Exceptional collaboration, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Strong presentation skills with executive presence.
• Flexibility to work during US hours up to 5 pm ET.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion a clear, multi-year product vision and strategy for the platform and integrations.
• Mentor and develop at least one direct report.
• Conduct market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify integration opportunities.
• Develop and manage a product roadmap balancing infrastructure, integrations, and long-term goals.
• Present strategy and insights to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Translate API specs into user stories, requirements, and business solutions.
• Oversee full product lifecycle for all integrations from discovery to launch and iteration.
• Collaborate with engineering to build scalable platform services and integrations.
• Identify and resolve risks and dependencies across systems for seamless integration.
• Own relationships with external integration partners for smooth implementation.
