Job summary

Hermanson Company in Portland, OR is seeking a Project Manager to support Owner Direct Projects. You will coordinate Hermanson work and subcontractors, with focus on delivering quality results.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical construction, HVAC experience, and strong communication and organization skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Annual base salary range is $95,000 to $140,000, with bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience in project management within the mechanical construction industry.
• Prior HVAC and/or mechanical construction experience is required.
• Must demonstrate good communication and management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering preferred or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes teamwork and a positive winning team attitude through leadership.
• Establishes and maintains a trusting, working relationship with project foremen, superintendents, customers, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Forecasts anticipated workload for a rolling 12-month period every month.
• Directs day‑to‑day activities of project team to ensure project deliverables and schedules.
• Makes the final selection on all equipment and subcontractors and ensures POs and subcontracts are written.
• Verifies receipt of billing for equipment and subcontractors before approval of payment.
• Calculates and submits change orders and updates project budgets and change order logs.
• Completes the Hermanson monthly STAT/Financial Report and Cost Forecasting.
