Job summary

Bidbus, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to own the demand-side marketplace growth, including roadmap, experiments and core KPIs. You will shape how buyers engage and participate, and drive conversion across multiple markets.

You’ll partner with Design, Engineering, Data and Marketplace Operations to test ideas, scale initiatives and deliver growth loops, personalization and competitive price discovery in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management experience.
• Experience building marketplace, growth, engagement or recommendation products.
• Strong understanding of experimentation, user behavior, growth loops and product-led growth.
• Strong analytical skills with behavioral, cohort and marketplace data.
• Experience owning growth, engagement, marketplace or transaction outcomes.
• Ability to identify behavioral and marketplace constraints behind a metric and not just optimize a funnel.
• Experience taking ambiguous problems from strategy through launch, experimentation and iteration.
• Strong product judgment, creativity and systems thinking.
• High ownership and comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the demand-side marketplace growth strategy, roadmap, experimentation agenda and core KPIs.
• Increase high-quality demand participation, bidding frequency, retention and purchase frequency.
• Build products that match each vehicle with multiple relevant buyers, improving recommendations, ranking, personalization and discovery.
• Create growth and engagement loops through marketplace experiences, gamification, incentives, promotions, notifications, auction mechanics and other bets.
• Identify where demand and liquidity break down and build scalable product solutions across markets and buyer segments.
• Use behavioral and marketplace data to improve matching, engagement and price discovery.
• Partner with Design, Engineering, Data and Marketplace Operations to rapidly test, learn and scale new ideas.
• Lead ambitious 0-1 bets that can unlock step-change improvements in demand, liquidity and transaction volume.
