Job summary

BPGbio, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Head of Project Management to strengthen project execution across the organization and lead the Project Management function.

This role directly manages complex, cross-functional projects and coaches a PM team to improve capability, consistency, and accountability. The ideal candidate will establish practical project management discipline, maintain integrated project plans, run effective meetings, manage risks, and escalate issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• PM leadership experience in biotech/pharma or life sciences
• PMP certification required
• Experience building and coaching project management teams
• Strong ability to translate priority into executable plans
• Ability to manage cross-functional projects from planning to completion
• On-site presence in Waltham, MA

Responsibilities

• Lead high-priority projects from initiation to completion with clear scope, owners, milestones and budgets
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans including critical path and dependencies
• Lead focused project meetings with clear agendas and action owners
• Follow up on progress and resolve obstacles
• Identify and mitigate risks and escalate as needed
• Coach and develop PM team members with clear expectations
• Coordinate timelines for preclinical and development activities in collaboration with scientific leads
• Integrate external partners and manage budgets, milestones, and risks
• Provide executive-ready project updates and dashboards
• Maintain practical PM standards and operating model for the organization
